So, we will clear recent Emojis and Emoticons through Gboard and Swiftkey applications using the methods mentioned in the next section.

Method 1: How to Clear Your Most Recent Emojis/Emoticons of the Gboard App

The Gboard is a keyboard application developed by Google LLC and it comes pre-installed on most of the new Android phones. To clear recent emojis/emoticons of the Gboard app, the following below-listed instructions will be followed:

Step 1: Launch the Apps & Notifications Settings

First, we will open the settings application on the Android phone and then choose the “Apps & Notification/Apps” option.

Step 2: Open Keyboard Settings

Now, locate the “Gboard” app from the list of applications and then select it.

Step 3: Remove Recent Emojis and Emoticons

Next, choose the “Storage” option and then select the “Clear Data” option.

Step 4: Verification

Method 2: How to Clear Most Recent Emojis/Emoticons of Swiftkey Keyboard

The Swiftkey Keyboard is a default keyboard application on the Samsung device. To clear the most recent emojis and emoticons of the Swiftkey keyboard, we are going to follow the below stated steps:

Step 1: Open General Management Settings

First, we will navigate to the settings app of the Samsung device and then select the “General Management” option. 

Step 2: Open Samsung Keyboard Settings

After that, hit the “Samsung Keyboard Settings ” option from the menu.

Step 3: Clear the Data of the Keyboard

Now, choose the “Reset keyboard settings” option on the Samsung device.

These steps will set the Swiftkey board settings to the default.
